128731-127919It’s been three years since the birth of my last baby…and I’m still hanging on to the weight.

It’s not like I don’t work out…it’s just that I eat.

The. Wrong. Foods.

Sugar is the problem for me.

“Researchers say that sugar and the taste of sweet is said to stimulate the brain by activating beta endorphin receptor sites, the same chemicals activated in the brain by the ingestion of heroin and morphine.”

I may or may not be a drug addict…but if I were (or am), sugar is my drug of choice.

When I was pregnant with my youngest child, I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. It was devastating. I mourned the loss of one of my closest friends…you guessed it, sugar.

But I did it. I did it well actually, because I was challenged and it wasn’t for me. What can I say, I’m quite competitive and It was a no brainer for the health of my unborn baby. I felt amazing with no sugar in my system. I ate regular meals and snacks throughout the day. I ate the correct combination of carbs, protein and fat. Of course, there was a three week withdrawl period to go through, but I did it.

And my baby was the peanut of the family…which proved to me that what I ate affected the size of my baby. Not that I didn’t know that before, but I never really thought that box of Ding Dongs would make an actual difference. One month after her birth, I was using again.

My point is this…it’s #ExMoChallenge time….

It’s time to break up .
