Super Bowl Sunday’s show in Hollywood has been sold out for awhile.
You can watch Sunday’s show at home. Babble will be live streaming the show via their Periscope channel. If you don’t know what that means simply go to Expressing Motherhood’s Facebook page and I will post the link as soon as the show starts at 7PM PST.
Don’t delay in buying your tickets to our next LA show, our May 3rd show in Santa Monica.
We will be at the beautiful Moss Theatre next to the Herb Alpert Educational Center. I’ve been getting a strong reaction from people over 50 when they read that Herb Alpert has a theatre named after him.
The May 3rd night will be sponsored by MomDotMe and ClubMomMe. The price of your ticket will include some wine.
A big thank you to all who have supported Expressing Motherhood for 8 years nows. Exciting things are in the works which will be announced soon.

This fall my husband and I lost our beloved friend Marcel Langenegger. He was a former neighbor. Our kids played together as he hand wrote the Expressing Motherhood logo that we have used for years. His widow, my dear friend, Nete Oernsholt, has done most of our graphics for years. I would have her daughter over in exchange for her work.
I’m honored that some of his creativity and passion went into Expressing Motherhood. He was an acclaimed international director and yet one sunny afternoon in the Hollywood Hills, he wrote our logo, with his shirt off I must add. He and his wife and our children played together at the time.
Creative collaboration is the heart and soul of Expressing Motherhood. I’m forever grateful to have known him.
Expressing Motherhood will be collecting diapers for the organization Help a Mother Out this weekend at both of the shows.
From their website:
We distribute diapers to families in need through a network of social service partners including Early Head Start programs, First 5 family resource centers, homeless and foster children services, public health departments and others. We also advocate for the inclusion of diapers in the social safety net.
Saturday’s show is 100% SOLD OUT. There are no walk up tickets available.
Last I checked there were a few tickets left for Sunday.
Showtime is at 7:30PM.
You can valet below the theatre for $6 in front of Barbarella.
While I am pouring over submissions and planning the next show check out some events that ExMo alum here in Los Angeles are up to.
Loretta Fox will be sharing one of her stories with fellow ExMo alum Larry Dean Harris’ show Strong Words. The show will be held in SilverLake on February 28th, an all female cast. Details on the flier.
In March ExMo alum Elizabeth Aquino will be hosting another Books & Bakes, a literary food salon.
“Are you a lover of literature but stuck in a book group that never really discusses the book? Are you a lover of food but want to cut through the pretension of the foodie world? Do you revel in devouring both beautiful fiction and food, especially when they intersect? Are you looking for unique gift for your loved ones or yourself? Come join a community of like-minded sounds and share your love of literature and food at my second Books & Bakes literally and food salon. Salon size is limited to 10 so RSVP early.
$75 per person includes facilitated discussion about The Debt to Pleasure, related food and alcohol.
Email Elizabeth Aquino at elosophie (at) gmail.com for more information and to RSVP.
Lastly, if you like women who drink and swear please join Mommy Tonk at private home on the East side April 19th at 4PM. Food and alcohol provided and a show! $40, get your friends and come get rowdy.
